Rosie Lloyd-Giblett - Noosa Artist posing on a tree in the Noosa Hinterland

Rosie Lloyd-Giblett has worked as an artist and art educator across many landscapes. Her childhood was full of the open spaces of Western Queensland and after completing a Fine Arts Degree in painting and Graduate Diploma in Education she ventured into the world. She has taught in Southern Africa, the Northern Territory and Cape York. These experiences as well as the past 23 years living on the Sunshine Coast have shaped and inspired her artistic direction and practices.

Recently Rosie has begun a Masters in Art Research at Griffith University in Brisbane. She is delving deep into her passions of art, science and the environment. Her life experiences gathered can be clearly witnessed in her love affair with the landscape. Working plein air for many years has led to a deeper meaning within her work shaping her imagery for solo and group exhibitions in Noosa, Gympie and Caloundra Regional Galleries and beyond.

Her works on paper and canvas are expressive and at times abstract. There is an opportunity for the viewer to feel the energy of the mark making, flickering shadows and the change in seasons of the sub- tropical landscape.
